Founded in 2012 Rye celebrates midwestern recipes, traditions, and culture using local Kansas & Missouri flavors and farmers. Chef owners Colby & Megan Garrelts are proud to be from the Midwest and Rye gives them the opportunity to showcase dishes that they have enjoyed with several generations of their families. They pay homage to those heritage dishes that the Midwest is known for – succulent smoked pork chops, bbq, aged steaks, fried chicken, vegetables just off the stove, Parker House rolls, freshly made seasonal pies, fruit cobblers, and specialty cakes to name a few. Their food at Rye takes traditional dishes and gives them a chef’s point of view, while preserving the important heritage of the dish. Rye is open for lunch and dinner with brunch served on Saturday and Sunday. less
